1. Overview
Kling.art ("we", "us", "our") provides AI video and image generation services powered by the Kling 3.0 API by Kuaishou Technology. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.
Kling.art is an independent service and is not affiliated with Kuaishou Technology.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Automatically collected data
When you use Kling.art, we automatically collect:
- IP address — used solely for rate limiting (daily generation limits). Stored in our local SQLite database and not linked to any personal profile.
- Usage data — anonymous counts of generations per day, per IP. Not linked to identity.
- Log data — standard web server logs (timestamp, IP, requested URL, HTTP status) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
2.2 User-provided data
- Prompts — text you enter is sent to the Kling API via OpenRouter to process your generation request. We do not permanently store your prompts on Kling.art servers.
- Reference images — uploaded files are processed in-memory and sent to the Kling API. They are not stored on Kling.art servers after the request completes.
2.3 Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics (page views, session duration, geographic region). IP addresses are anonymized before storage by Google. You can opt out using browser extensions like uBlock Origin or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
3. How we use your data
- Enforce free-tier daily generation limits (IP-based rate limiting)
- Operate and improve the Kling.art service
- Detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized API usage
- Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the product
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services
- OpenRouter / Kling API: Your prompts and reference images are transmitted to these services for AI generation. Their respective privacy policies apply.
- Google Analytics: Anonymous usage data. Google Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies
Kling.art does not use first-party cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies for session tracking. These are managed by Google and covered by their privacy policy.
6. Data retention
- Rate limiting records: retained for 7 days, then automatically purged
- Server logs: retained for 30 days, then deleted
- Analytics data: controlled by Google (see Google's data retention settings)
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information beyond IP addresses, most requests can be addressed by clearing your browser and using a different IP. 8. Children
Kling.art is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the latest version was published.
